ENGINEERING-LED DEVELOPMENT
Research Built Around Real Manufacturing Challenges.
Engineering plastics react differently to temperature, pressure, cooling and reinforcement. Producing a reliable semi-finished rod or sheet therefore requires more than selecting a polymer resin.
ZERO’s R&D team studies the relationship between material formulation, extrusion equipment, tooling design and downstream machining performance. The goal is practical: improve consistency, solve processing problems and expand the range of materials that can be produced reliably.
Research is transferred into production methods, specification guidance and technical communication for customers.
R & D FOCUS AREAS
Four Disciplines Behind a Better Stock Shape.
Development work is organized around the factors that most directly influence material consistency and customer use.
Material Formulation
Evaluate resin behavior, fillers, reinforcement ratios, color and target performance.
Extrusion Process
Optimize temperature, pressure, flow, cooling and process stability for each material.
Equipment & Tooling
Develop production-line and die solutions for different rod diameters and sheet formats.
Performance Validation
Compare physical, thermal and machining behavior before production release.
TECHNICAL CHALLENGES
Solving the Difficulties Behind Advanced Materials.
Our research targets issues that directly affect stock-shape quality, repeatability and downstream machining.
PROCESS CONTROL
High-Temperature Processing
Manage demanding melt temperatures while maintaining stable flow and product dimensions.
MATERIAL UNIFORMITY
Reinforcement Dispersion
Improve the distribution of glass fiber, carbon fiber and other fillers within stock shapes.
STOCK-SHAPE QUALITY
Surface & Dimensional Stability
Reduce defects, internal stress and anisotropy that can affect machining results.
REPRESENTATIVE TECHNOLOGY
Pulse Extrusion Technology.
ZERO developed “Pulse Extrusion” as an independent process solution for special engineering plastic stock shapes. The technology reflects the company’s wider approach: identify a production problem, understand the material behavior and convert the solution into repeatable manufacturing.
The invention is represented by Chinese invention patent No. 201410330331.1 and forms part of the company’s accumulated technical portfolio.
Independent Development
Created around practical extrusion requirements.
Production Application
Transferred from research into manufacturing.
